[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The setting sun or the gigentic Atlantic waves not suppress the indomitable spirit of this beach lover. I found him in a recent trip to Bassam beach, near Abidjan. With each approaching wave he starts running towards the water and leaps aiming at the creast of the wave.

They say the salinity of the blood resembles with that of the sea water. Hence the love of sea is in the blood of human being. I beleived seeing him. Though his well toned body reflecting the oblique rays of the setting sun gave the look of Poseidon, the Greek God of Seas, returning to his under water realm after an afternoon on the beach.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Selim,
This is my first visit to your site so I get to choose the photo I like best. This is an amazing shot, you have caught him perfectly poised in the air. The huge wave breaking in the background makes your compo complete. I much prefer your version to the WS.
The timing of your model doesn't seem to be as good as yours, it really looks like he'll miss that wave unless he really can fly :-)
Regards, Pat

Wonderful photo Selim, this is one of those whots where it is difficult to keep everything as sharp as you have done here. I like it very much.

Hi Selim
V. good timing! Shuuter speed well judged too. And I like the PoV that shows the body of the man diagonally. Maybe the sky's not very good but rest works well.
Rgrds,
Cheukhin

Nice timing during fly..
How you did it..

Great action shot. Could have been made a bit better I feel if it was more of a closeup, but the wave also helps by adding some power into the water. Nice work.

I saw this earlier but forgot to have a good look. Now I see how good it is. And not just the camera! It is so clear, so full of dynamic energy. It's just a pity the sky on that day wasn't a bit more colourful. But this is a marvellous action shot. Well done.
Regards, Andrew
