Bonjour Gaby,
The overexposed dress, make this an artistic image that doesn't disturb me much (although doesn't fit in to the correct rules of good photography...). I like the overall composition, even with all the heads cutted in the background. The main scene is very interesting and the expression of the girl is quite funny. Marvellous colours as usual. I'm glad that you post this interesting ceremony.

bonjour Gaby, oui en effet le blanc est flashant, mais je comprends que tu n'aies pu régler ton appareil, par contre apparemment la femme à gauche est chrétienne, mais cela n'empêche pas les traditions sans doute, les couleurs sont très contrastantes et certainement une très forte lumière?

Un tout petit peu complique comme scene, surtout avec ce pique tres fort, et il y a de la surexpo a gauche, mais je trouve quand meme cela fascinant, Gaby, parceque tu nous presente dans le meme cadre ces veilles sorcvieres et la jeunesse...
Bien vu avec une note absolument superbe!

white seems to be overexposed but the moment, the composition, the photo itself compensates for this;

gaby, j'espère que tu ne vas pas m'en vouloir, mais je suis gêné par la difficulté que j'éprouve à lire la photo; contrairement à ton habitude je trouve la compo moins organisée.
Le sujetb est par contre passionnant.

A very interesting scene in two ways, Gaby--first from the perspective of the cultural traditions, and second because of the interesting expressions of the girl and the woman at top center. It's interesting that she's wearing a cross, suggesting the intermingling of older traditions with western religions. It's unfortunate that Fatoumata's face gets a bit lost among all the colorful clothing--the right side of the image is a bit hard to sort out, visually. But it's still a very likeable shot! Géniale, cette image. Et oui, en effet, je me disais que ça ne se photographiait pas... Je suis tombée par hasard sur un poro à Korhogo, et si je ne m'étais pas réfugiée très vite dans la première échoppe venue, je crois que j'aurais fini le séjour sans appareil photo...
