Bonjour Gaby, needless to say this is another of your great portraits, in this case a double one, in superb colors and focus. I like the balance between the two subjects, probably because of the strong expression of the woman on left, a bit farther from the viewer. We don't see a bit of the surroundings this time, and this is very good because the blank background enhances the subjects and it also makes me think about other possible places in which these sorcery rites may take place, like Reunion and Haiti. D'emblée, l'atmosphère est différente de tes posts habituels, bcp + grave, dense.
C'est très réussi.
PS: je ne sais vraiment pas pourquoi j'ai rédigé en anglais hier!

Hi Gaby. The lighting on these faces and the colours of their garments are superb, as is the sharpness and composition of your image. But what has happened to the background? Have you taken it out in PP because it was cluttered or was the light so bright that it was completely blown out? Cheers . . . David

Bonjour Gaby, excellent ce double portrait de femmes d'un certain age. Il est bon de changer comme ca, des enfants aux vieilles "sorcieres"!
Tu as tres bien capte le cractere de ces deux femmes et le serieux de Fatoumata.

Another lovely portrait of yours, with the usual fascinating strong colours and sharpness. The composition is perfect and I love the strong white background, which enhance their images. Also like the detail of the trunks behind them. Excellent work!

The lady on the right looks very experienced. Very beautiful usage of light and great details in a double portrait. I think there is something that the lady on the left does not like.

j'aime bien cette "sorcière" qui doit avoir un tas d'amulettes acrochées pour être restée aussi belle. c'est une photo intense, on l'a déjà écrit, mais c'est vrai qu'elle est plus "grave" qu'habituellement.
