Photographer’s Note
Greetings from the city of Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, in the Democratic Republic of Congo!
I bet you don’t hear that very often.
I sell oranges on the street. My friend, Dave Larson, took my photo and is “speaking for me” here.
Dave knows that this photo isn’t great technically, but thought that my bright, warm face and welcoming wave might make up for that.
He also thought that this photo would be a good starting place for several postings from his recent trip to my country.
He (and I), hope you enjoy them!

Larson, pleased you post one finally!
A desaturation may eliminate the eye's focus onto the red umbrella behind your subject. Minor OE on hand and parts of face = easily correctable. A final application of an unsharp mask will improve this further I'm sure.
Regards,
