Photographer’s Note

Arrived in Pointe Noire from Angola 25 years ago, Willy is a great and well known phenomenon in the town. This old (70) small and funny guy plays in bars and restaurant at night. He really is a great musician and a real caractere. From local music to blues and rock, the best are his variations around Georges BRASSENS (a french singer) tubes as the Gorille !
When he comes to the Blues, his guitare and his notes gives the feeling this kind of music his back home...

Bonsoir Frank,
Le cadrage en contre-plongée et en diagonale ajoute du dynamisme à cette photographie. La main floue clotûre le tout. Ceci est bien la recette d'un superbe portrait.Bravo!
Une petite question: Willy chante-t-il "Ancien combattant" ?

Superbe cadrage en tout cas, très dynamique, en NB ça serait Route 66 mais avec les couleurs ça ne trompe pas... héhé, ça c'est de la rumba congolaise et de la sape, où je ne m'y connais pas. Matez-moi l'élégance des rayures la une cravate à pois, l'attitude est savamment étudiée!

Une des meilleurs photos de musicien de ce site, à mon avis.
