A stop to a pygmy village means that it will be party time for the villagers: you're the rich white man bringing cigarettes, coffee, soap, salt, sugar... what they don't have! And the dance begins just for you. They sing and dance on a simple music (mostly a beat from drums) and they're willing for photos!!
This grandmother, chief's wife, was particularly happy to see the visitors: as we were out of the car, she went to wear traditional skirt and begin to dance.

Interesting character. the kid near her elbow is a bit distracting but I can imagine how you shot this picture. No time for debating on the perfect composition .... just shootihng while she is still in front of you like this :)
goone one!
regards,
Krzysztof

A lively shot, I can see a lot of character in this woman. I like all the people behind, it demonstrates how interesting you were to them! A true TE moment.

Hello Yves,

I really liked the photoes you took in this town. This mama looks so proud of her dance and her family.
I wonder if you used sepia filter in any of your images?
