Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, a photo from Porto Novo, Barlavento

Photographer's Note

I proudly present the first photo of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo on TE.
About 600 inhabitants and very isotated at the westcoast.
There are dayly pickups from Porto Novo.It last about three hours and sitting on the back is a nightmare.
The unpaved road,no you can not call it a road is at many parts damaged by errosion.
Please see the workshop.
The road lead from Porto Novo up to 1500 meters at “Campo Redondo” and then in hundreds of serpentines down to the coast at Tarrafal de Monte Trigo.
There is only one guesthouse there:Mar Tranqulidade.A wonderful place to stay a few days.

Magnificent photograph!
Sharpness, exposure, dof and colors are all excellent1
My favorite elements, though, are the very well chosen pov and the effective and quite attractive composition, specially because of those wet rocks and the waves breaking on them in the lower fg!

Well,your expedition was rewarded by beautiful ocean views, like this well presented one. Maybe easier to reach by boat as someone did judging by the mast visible in the background...

Each picture of your serie about Cape verde is really interesting ... and gives the wish to have a trip there .
This one is superb , too , showing us a beautiful part of the coast . The wet boulders in the fore ground are splendid , as the view of the village at the feet of a baren mountain .

liegen nicht die meisten schönen Flecke am Ende einer beschissenen Straße ?... diesem Eindruck hatte ich zumindest bei unseren Entdeckungstouren in Griechenland..
tolle Aufnahme von diesen scheinbar unberührten Strandabschnitt..

excellent ce point de vue très bas sur les galets,cela donne beaucoup de relief et conduit bien le regard .Très belles lumières et couleurs sur cette côte.Superbe ce lieu

Hallo Leo,

This site must have been few changes in centuries. You must have felt almost like an explorer in this remote island. Excellent capture, magnificent colors, beautiful light and very good sharpness.

Wieder ein fotografischer Volltreffer! Die Bildschärfe von den Kieselsteinen vorne bis zu den Bergen im Hintergrund ist umwerfend. Eine faszinierende Landschaft - und es wird von Foto zu Foto klarer, was Dich dorthin zieht. Wunderschön - und eindrucksvoll! Hier könnte ich ins Schwärmen kommen ...

Wonderful view of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, including the stones in foreground.
This drier zone of Santo Antão seems like São Vicente, in contrast with the greener ribeiras of northern Santo Antão.
You are right to be proud to show this place on TE.
