Photographer’s Note

This is my second photo taken at Monte Gordo,with 1312 meters the highest mountan in Sao Nicolao.
Here you can see how steep it is and from which direction the wind comes.
The bushes are endemic plants, a species of Euphorbia which gows only on this island at an attitude of 900-1200 meters.

über den Wolken ... ich hab eigentlich Probleme, wenn ich mich in der Höhe bewege, aber es sieht schon sehr reizvoll aus. Prachtvolle und lebhafte Farben, Nino.

You have rendered this in a most artistic manner. Although the foreground could be a little sharper, I rather like the painterly, softer look - the steep slope, the character tree, and the sharp peak below present a unique vista. Very fine work, Andreas. Have a good weekend.

What a weird tree. The top seems to have a gravitional pull towards the slope. Your composition is very dynamique thanks to the sizeable angle of the slope and I like how this half stands out well agains the blurry background. The clouds way down below add an usual touch. I like the polarized sky too.

the diagonal of this slope dividing the image is very graphical and elegant. The trimmed solitary tree on the sky of background, and with the clouds underneath that seem waves in the sea, they form a very pretty set, well illuminated and with good colors.

Nice simple composition with clean lines, Leo. The steep diagonal of the mountainside is superb and the way the tree leans in towards the slope to shelter from the strong winds is excellently captured.
