Photographer’s Note

Flight VR 5311 with TACV (Trans Aero Cabo Verde)
goes from Sao Nicolao to Sal.
This was a wonderful flight,verry low and lasting only 40 minutes and only 15 passengers.
The flight was booked,but they offered me a biwak under the right wing,for half price......only joking.
I was lucky to sit in the first row,having a verry clean window.

Hi Leo

Its always great to be seated at window in a short flight, especially clean windows.
Taken from above, the blue and white in your shot is superb. Btw is it a propell jet?

As you know, good photos from airplanes are not easy to get. But there are exceptions, like your great "first photo" mentioned in the note.
This one is not as good, but the effect of clouds and shadows is very nice. By the other hand, the clouds seem also a lot of islands.

Hallo Andreas!
Nach einem fürchterlichen Flug vor vielen Jahren von Athen nach Stuttgart werde ich nie wieder ein Flugzeug betreten, aber Dein Foto zeigt viel von der Faszination des Fliegens. Die Wolken von oben vor diesem unglaublich blauen Meer, Wunderschön ...! Übrigens das WS-Foto ist ebenfalls toll!

nach Fabrice noch ein schönes Foto mit Dominanz der Blautöne und einem grauen Detail - bei dir vom Flugzeug.
Ich hatte - wie mein Vorredner - auch schon einige unangenehmen Flüge, aber auf Fernreisen würde ich nie verzichten wollen.

To me it looks you are lebow the plane. Good sharp for a photo inside of a plane, great blue colors! And good complementary photos.

I think using a polarizer was smart. Either those are shadows of the clouds or they are some islands. The thin line of light just below the engine makes it seem like you are looking at the curvature of the earth. Wonderful shot.

Magnifique prise de vue aérienne. Pas toujours facile au travers d'un hublot souvent pas très net. J'en sais quelque chose pour en avoir déjà publiées.
On apprécie bien la courbure de la Terre sur ta photo. Très jolis aussi ces petits nuages blancs.

I remember flying on these little planes when I was in Cape Verde, but I didn't get nearly as beautiful a shot out the window as you have. I love the two shades of blue on the ocean created by the shadows of the clouds. Very interesting, and very pretty.

Well I can see the blur from the propeller blade and by looking at the altitude I would say this plane ride offers excellent views for taking photos. I really love the view from under the wing Andreas. It makes the photo very interesting and adds nice depth to the photo!

A great view from a clean window. I like how the curve of the engine & the earth's curvature merge just halfway..The clouds floating above the islands creates a wonderful view...and your use of polarizer actually did wonders here. Lovely!

Lieber Leo ... heute bin ich mal etwas "tiefer" in Deiner Gallery rumgesurft, und da ich immer noch auf meiner Mykonos-blauen Welle reite, gefaellt mir dieses Bild besonders gut. Und als Mitfliegerin sehe ich Bilder von oben vielleicht etwas anders als andere - und Deines ist besonders gut gelungen, einfach umwerfend attraktiv. Die Wolken, das Meer, da koennte man stundenlang hinsehen und etwas vor sich hintraeumen. Ist ja bald "Schlafenszeit" ... ich nehme es mit, Dein Bild, wer weiss, vielleicht bin ich dann besonders fit morgen frueh. Barbara.
