Photographer’s Note

Foto is taken at the port of Ponta da Sol in Santo Antao island.You can see a part of the port at my previous post.
This little boy was helping some fishermen,which just returned from fishing.When he saw me and my camera he posed and wanted me to do some fotos.

A good action shot. The pose is engaging and natural despite acting to the camera. You have achieved an emotional connection. The detail and exposure are good and the tones nicely balanced. Great work.

Ein Foto voller Lebensfreude, das Du uns da zeigst. Der Junge hebt sich wunderbar vor dem unruhigen Hintergrund ab, wobei der Kontrast zwischen vertikal und horizontal stärker nicht sein könnte. Das Lächeln ist umwerfend... Aber warum hat der Boy sein Hemd falsch herum an ... !? ;-)

A picture of a really likeable boy. He is happy by being able to show you the small fish that has fished, signaling of OK with its thumb.
Perfect details in the photo, beautiful colors and background out of focus that stands out the protagonist of the scene.

I didn't see all your photos yet. This was one of those I didn't see, until today (29Nov2006). I saw it on the main page of TE on the section "Featured Travelogue". I don't know which, why and how the photos appear on the main (home) page of TE, but if someone chooses the best, this one was a good choice. This photo is full of colour and full of life (despite the fish may be dead). It is a faithful portrait of the joy of life that most Cape-Verdeans sport.
