[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Mandrill monkey I took at the Limbe botanic garden, 50 miles from Douala.

This picture illustrates one of the successes of the Limbe Wildlife Center since I introduce you a Drillus, one of the most endangered species in Cameroon. The center was able to raise baby Drillus.

The drill only lives in three countries: Cameroon's Southwest Province, South East Nigeria and Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea. They can live up to 28 years old. Some of them have a colorful large nose. With their long powerful teeth, they are said to be the lions of the rain forest.

The LWC was created in 1993 and its purpose is to protect gorillas and different kind of monkeys (like Drillus) threaten by bushmeat trade in different rainforest areas of Cameroon. It also promotes educational values to the pupils from different schools visiting the center on saturday afternoon so that they understand how critical it is to protect those endangered species and to stop encouraging eating that kind of meat.

One can discover 15 different species all originated from Cameroon. The center is skilled enough today to get births from different endangered species.

Wow! That's an extremly sharp photo with excellent DOF and nice warm colors. I only wished you didn't crop the animal's head and torso.

This close-up is excellent. The sharpness is simply amazing. Great DOF and colours too. Well done.
Antonio

pas evident ces photos animalières.. et visiblement pas un blockbuster sur TE! belle prise néanmoins à mon avis;-)

Bonjour Steven. Striking portrait. The clarity is excellent and the character engaging. Those eyes would make Rasputin jealous. regards. Klaudio.
