Na Yahki: let's fight against AIDS! Photo

Photographer’s Note

In Cameroon 450,000 people live with AIDS and every year this country counts 46,000 deaths for HIV.
The treatment is available only in the most importants cities and for the majority of cameroonians is very difficult to obtain it; it costs 15€ per month and the income of a cameroonian in the extreme north province is 30€.
Womens of Na-yahki association in Lara village started activities to fight against AIDS: they constructed a wind mill and they cultivate communitaries fields to support AIDS traitements for their village inhabitants.
Many persons now can look at their future with hope thanks to these fantastic womens.
We shared special moments together and this shot is a tribute to them.

Es un bello tributo a la lucha de esas mujeres . Me gusta el tono documental retratando una realidad cruel que esta desangrando ese precioso continente africano (junto con los otros jinetes del apocalipsis en el hambre , guerras , sequias ...).>e gustan los colores , el color en la tierra , los atuendos(ropas), la fertilidad de muchos lugares tan bellos pero con gente tan castigada . En cualquier caso esas iniciativas que relatas son las que todavia dan esperanzas para creer en el ser humano que es lo unico que puede salvarnos .

Quando a malária,a SIDA,a tuberculose e a fome são males maiores deste continente esquecido...não é preciso violência criminosa para morrer em África.
