[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
two sisters in the village i was staying at.
one in front, is older...she was busy having fun with her jump rope while the other in the back was sulking after getting in trouble by her mom.
i wished i had zoomed in a bit more and centered the girls so that you can see the left hand of the girl in front. opps.

i agree clara, it is a shame this image isn't bigger. i started doing a workshop for you, but the image is too small and i couldn't work with the quality.

what i thought to do was crop the left side (her arm) out and crop some off the bottom too. converting the shot to black and white as well as adding a gradient mask would help.

this image is nice, but needs to be bigger ... and you definitely need to improve the framing.

Hi Clara.

Nice post with reality.
But sorry it is too small.
:(
Colors are bit dull..
Just a meter of improving curves..You even can do it.

Please check
1) PhotoFiltre on net.
This software has many function & availble free of cost.
Bit heavy tool but can provide many functions like photoshop.

Keep it up.

Nice shot with charming subjects, and a good neutral background.
But why did you have to cut off the poor girl's hand?

Hi Clara,

I like the photo in terms of 'testimonial' or photo journalism, where the point is the story that the image tells. In this case what you show is more important than photographic perfection.

But then, in mere terms of quality, there are some considerations (even not knowing if you scanned the photos or if they are digital shots -not meaning that one is better than the other):

First of all, there is the file size. I opened randomly some of your posts, and they are all images of less than 70Kb. That will always push down definition and create a big loss of detail.

Then, there is processing. Generally images to be posted in the web require some preparation in terms of adjusting contrast, light, saturation, sharpness, and eventually noise. There are 2 or 3 freeware applications that could allow you to do this very easily.

If you scan the images from film, it is best using the highest definition of the scanner, thus you get more detail before resizing the photo for posting (the same applies to digital photos).

Anyway, you have some very good daily life photos in your gallery, they show emotion; now is only a matter of simple technical issues.

Keep it up and keep on posting!

Best regards,
Carlos

A very nice double portrait Clara, too bad the picture is a bit samll, I would like you to take advantage of 800x600 allowed format. Anyway it's a nice daily life shot, the picture is well balanced, I like their look.

Hi Clara. A nice portrait with a very dynamic expression from the girl on the right and good balance. The colour of their two costumes also seems to contribute to the balance.
