Kribi lighthouse

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a beach from Kribi, one of the nicest beach in the country. In the background, you can see a lighthouse built by the German people in 1906.
Today, Kribi is the major touristic place for local people or the numerous foreign workers from Yaounde or Douala. Besides, spending the day enjoying the sun or eating great shrimps on the beach, one can see fishering activities.
Few kilometers south, you can also discover the Lobe waterfalls. It is also possible to sail along the local river and meet pygmees camps. I heard that the camp close to Kribi was quite sad due to tourism. Most of the money is spent into beer so we didn't go there. I plan to go further to the east when possible and find camps in more remote places where tourism will have not spoiled their way of living yet.
By the way, it's quite fun to spend Christmas on the beach with hot temperature and have a swim :) |

Nice image Steven, I like the way the eye is taken up the mossy cement structure to the light house. Nice image you have captured the waves at just the right moment.
Cheers,
Debbie
Hello Steven
Wonderful composition, i like the texture on the stones in the foreground, and the lighthouse is perfectly placed in the shot.
Good details and color.

Hi Steven!
I like such location, they close to my heart. What I found extraordinary in this photo is the size ot the lighthouse - very small compared to those trees.
I like the DoF created with the concrete plates leading deep.
