Fantastic shot, Steven, at first I thought you gave it some toning but then I saw the green colour and realized it is a colour picture, excellent golden light captured here and the close-up compo couldn't be better.

love the contrast between the 'angry' waterfall in the background and the calm waters in the foreground ... even though the fisherman doesn't seem to mind much.

Excellent point of view, thanks to the 400mm (x1.6 !) we have an amazing feeling of proximity between us, the fisherman and the waterfall.

The only thing is I find it is a bit too "golden", but it is a personnal taste.

Hi Steven. Marvellous picture filled with light andd dynamism. I can almost hear the rushing, tumbling water. In all that commotion the little boat looks still and the fisherman in a meditative state.Nicely composed with an evocative PoV. Regards. Klaudio.

Great scene here Steven, instead of a peaceful sunset photo which we're so used of seeing with these type of boats, the waterfall makes it so much more dramatic..and then there he is just sitting by comfortably. Well done.

Bonjour Steven,
Superbe image. La barque de ce pêcheur devant cette cascade qui tombe de la mer donne une composition superbe, même si je regrette que la braque soit un peu serrée et centrée. Les couleurs sont magnifiques à tel point qu'on se demande à première vue si c'est un tirage sépia.
Bravo aussi pour ta note, je sais maintenant d'où vien tle nom du Cameroun :o)

Hello, Steven--
Nice work, very powerful shot here. The composition is great, with the boat and fisherman silhouetted against the waterfalls, and the golden light is terrific. The crashing water really shows the power of nature in the area. The 1/1600 works well to capture that as well, freezing the individual water droplets in mid air for a very crisp effect.

Wonderful & powerful shot..I thought that you'd done some PP work for the colour tones, but not so. The light is gorgeous & the silhouette of the fisherman wonderfully placed. The power of the waterfalls in the BG creates an awesome backdrop.

Presqu'à tous les matins je reçoi un courriel m'avertissant que tu as encore posté une photo. Incroyable comment tu es prolifique. DAns le dernier mois, c'est celle-ci que je préfère, sans contredit. Le rendu de la couleur est magnifique et j'aime bien que l'homme et son canot ne soient que partiellement visible, plus comme des silhouettes.J'aurais préféré un plan moins serré cependant avec un peu d'espace devant l'embarcation.
Ta note est vraiment très utile! merci!

C'est bien la première fois que je vois les chutes de La Lobé sous cette lumière là ! Excellente gestion de la lumière gràce à ce cadrage qui permet de s'affranchir de la réverbération du ciel tout en accentuant le mouvement de l'eau.
