Hey John,
I see you've returned from your travels...looking forward to seeing your shots from your trip. I like your title of this shot, what an interesting place to write a message on a bus. The red of the earth really stands out, and captures the attention of the viewer. The sky is quite dull though, and perhaps I would have cropped a bit closer. Otherwise a good shot.
Regards,
David

I think this is a typical African town and I have seen many like this in Angola. For the hotel, it was probably the best in many miles around!!! What I like in here is way you captured the real colours of Africa. The reddish ground is fantastic and the harsh sky is very representative of the rainy season in that part of the world. Also, the way life evolves around the transport trucks is very African. I love it.

Hello John,
Welcome back from your travels! This scene really caught my eye. That reddish-brown color is everywhere, and it is so vivid. I like the daily life: the people, the trucks. The truck, (Daphne!!), in the foreground with the message on top is a great detail. There is so much to study and enjoy in this photo.

Hi John,
Very African indeed! I like the saturated colours on this street scene, a good daily life documentary.

Hi John, your sweeping view really gives a feel for what this town is like. It should have been worth it just to experience the place, even if you had to stay in a terrible hotel. (What WAS so awful?) Nothing looks rushed, much looks decaying, which unfortunately says a lot. Regards, Ken.
