[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This a female Silver back gorilla from the Limbe Wildlife Center. The guide told me she was 14 years old and weighted 65kg. The dominant male of the group is 115kg.

The LWC was created in 1993 and its purpose is to protect gorillas and different kind of monkeys (like Drillus) threaten by wildmeat trade in different areas of Cameroon. It also promotes educational values to the pupils from different schools visiting the center on saturday afternoon so that they understand how critical it is to protect those endangered species and to stop encouraging eating that kind of meat.

One can discover 15 different species all originated from Cameroon. The center is skilled enough today to get births from different endangered species.

Hi Steven!
A nice zoo picture work, the eyes are nicely focused. It looks like handing the grass to you:)
Superb definition.
Regards,
Seb

Hello Steven

Yum, yum leaves!
This gilr seems to be very consentrated in her eating, I would not get close at all. Good thing you used 160 mm to get the shot!
The photo has some nice sharp features, good colour and a nice DOV to put the right attention to the gorilla.
Thank you for sharing

Odd Jarle

Excellenbt dramatic cropping and point of view that really makes this stand out from other wildlife shots here on TE. Nice depth of field as well that draws the eye straight ot the gorilla's eyes as well.
Well Done
Cheers
Mark

Hi STeven
Great shot;very strong close-up of the gorilla. I like the little green leaf there and the almost B&W gorilla.
Wonderful picture.
