[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cameroon has a number of national parks created with the intention of protecting wildlife and flora. In many parts of Africa it is said the tourists outnumber the animals. Not so in Cameroon, where visitors are limited, and the parks are pristine.
Benoue National Park covers 180 000 hectares, and features a wide frontage to the Benoue River. It has large numbers of buffalos, elephants, lions, water buck, warthogs, monkeys, crocodiles, and is well known for it's hippopotamus colonies.
The WWF has been involved in conservation projects here since the early 1990s.

Hello, Alberto!
Very nice shot. Good colours and composition. Pity a horyzon isn't straight.

Thank you for sharing!
Katya.

I could stand a little rest myself! Nice shot! they look so cute, and I know they would kill me first chance they got!
B-)
Linda

Hi Alberto,
nice picture. I know that they are the most dangerous animals in Africa, more dangerous as lion or rhinoceros. Good colours and useful note, as always.
Best regards,
Andrzej

Boun Giorno Alberto,
I like this well composed shot with the resting hippopotamus group. The colors and the sharpness is excellent. I like the reflections too - Well done!

A nice concept here. In a similar situation you may want to move up to the big rock in frame and see if you can capture more of the animals reflections in the water, (if your safety was not compromised).

Your POV would change but you may have that shot as well.

Great Job.
Aloha, JB

Hi, Alberto!
thank you for this photo. I can see resting on the sand hippos for the first time.
Regards,
Igor
