A mosque in Bobo-Dioulasso, the second largest city in Burkina Faso. This mosque of mud, straw and wood was built in 1881 in a style which is typical of the Sahelian region south of the Sahara.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

Hej Gert,
It was a pity that you could not capture the tops of the towers but at least you got the feet of the persons. Maybe you could have tried a crop to take off the towers completely? But with or without the upper parts this is a very interesting picture, a very special architecture. Fine scan and fine colours.

Howdy Gert!
Interesting scene, very interesting composition. Nice colors. Very good light. Original picture.
Regards!

Such a unique & beautiful architectural style. You've captured & framed the details of the mosque very nicely, good placement of the two gentlemen in the foreground too.
Cheers

Hej Gert!
Agree whit your brother about the cut. but It doesnt make those mosques less fantastic. I remember that we actually read about them in design history at (Konstfack) National collage of art and design.

Hi
I like this picture. Here is one idea [maybe wrong of course]: In order to render the lack of the mosque top unrelevant, i woud crop the top just a bit more. I think you did it on purpose but since it's not strongly marked, people might think you just 'missed' the top. Or am i completely wrong? Good picture anyway !

Hi Gert,
Although the date of building is not the same, I'm wondering if this one is the Grand Mosque of Bobo I shooted 25 years later and have in my gallery. Considering also the age of the slide, the scan's quality is very good. Tfs and best regards.
