There's a stranger in our street

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
It's late afternoon, the sun is getting low, the children are hurrying home after collecting the laundry, doing the shopping and filling the bucket with water. But they're not so hurried that they can't find a moment to stare and giggle at the stranger with the camera.
This is from Ouagadougou in early 1982. Only the major streets were paved. In the residential areas the streets were covered with the typical African red sand.

Hej Gert,
A fine and balanced composition, the bucket is the is well placed in the "golden point". There is a good harmony in the soft colours and it is quite amazing thar you have managed to avoid cars in the picture. Were there no cars?

This photo is really nice. It's a good representation of the daylife in Burkina Faso.
