The dam of Loumbila is located at about 15 km north-east of Ouagadougou, the capital of the Burkina-Faso, before the little town of Ziniaré (where the president Blaise Compaoré bore and where he has a palace).
Built in 1947, the dam is 42 millions of m3 of capacity.
Its waters go to the dam n°3 in the centre of Ouagadougou before being treated at the Raspanga station. Then they can be supplied.
A lot of market gardeners work the dam banks and the little ditches around ; some fish on the lake too.

Salut cher Yannis
A photo that is instantly recognisable as being African. I love this natural daily life scene, it's very sweet. And it has been well-composed with good management of the light and the shade. Thanks for sharing.

Not the best quality but a nice daylife shot from this country.
Good composition with this branch comming from the top and good depth with the trees and the village in the far distance.
