Hello David, I think the scene you captured is very sweet, and mother and daughter have wonderful expressions. Maybe the background is a bit disturbing the subject. In thisw case you might try to turn the photo in black and white, that makes the background less evident.
This is one of the reason that makes black and white very suitable for this kind of pictures.
