Photographer’s Note

Ouagadougou, the hand-crafted village.

The village was opened in 2000 at the south-east of the city, beyond the airport.
It was set next to the SIAO site (international hand-crafted exhibition of Ouagadougou) that takes place each even year.

The village group together about 400 artisans and 25 crafts : bronze work, leather industry, basket-making, jewelry, painters... and of course textile industry.

The artisans set here have a workshop to show their know-how to the visitors and a shop to sell their products directly.

Most of the visitors are westerners travelers that prefer the convenient side of such a site to the markets of the centre of town.

C'est sympathique de nous rapporter quelques tissus si colorés et lumineux de ton voyage au Burkina Faso. Le léger froissé et les obliques qui s'amorcent, pimentent l'image.

Salut Yannis,
L'idée est bonne, le cadrage aussi.
Par contre, le cadre coloré n'aide pas à l'aspect aérien que l'image doit générer. Un peu de netteté en plus aurait également aidé.
Les couleurs sont, quand à elles, sublimes et tout-à-fait naturelles.
