Photographer's Note

Ouagadougou, dam n°3, a sunset 2 years ago.
And 3 is also the days that left until my next trip to the Burkina Faso.

Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina-Faso has 1,5 millions of inhabitants.
The water supply of this city that grow each year depend on 3 weirs on the north of the city, separated by dyke-bridges.
And that's all...
The water of these reservoirs is used for the drink, the wash, irrigation for the vegetables...
The rain's season goes from june to september in the country. The rainy days are welcome to fill up the reservoirs for a year.

Très belles couleurs de coucher de soleil dans le ciel et le reflet dans les eaux calmes
Le bateau est très bien placé dans ta compo et ajoute à la sérénité de la scène
Je crois que j'aurais gommé la citerne d'eau en BG qui perturbe un peu la poésie de l'image

what a wonderful picuture. the sunlight has created some beautiful colours in the sky and you have captured them perfectly. the reflections in the water help create a wonderful degree of symmetry and balance. your inclusion of the little boat is superb silhouetted agaisnt the lighter background. a fantastic sunset.

Très jolie photo de ce coucher de soleil avec son reflet dans l'eau,les couleurs sont magnifiques.J'aime bien le bateau en silhouette.Bravo!

Lovely atmosphere, the smoothness, colors, & sky hues on your excellent scenic water sunset image. I especially love how the land in the background is barely there. Really super capture with beautifully warm tones and super pastel shades and the right kind of recession.The lone boat leads to the main picture. Indeed a remarkable shot and tx to your fine effort. Congrats.

Bonjour,

Une sacré ambiance sur cette photo!
L'effet de silhouette fonctionne à plein et fixe le regard; le déroulé de la rive en arrière plan donne un bon sentiment de profondeur à ce paysage.
Tout au plus, je recadrerais légérement pour enlever un petit bout du bas de l'image et amener plus rapidement le regard sur l'embarcation, mais c'est affaire de goût personnel.
