Photographer’s Note

We met a bunch of kids while visiting the Tiebelé dam. Caught by a tropical rain, we all sought refuge in a small hut and had a very interesting and unexpected conversation with those kids on the coming regional elections, the things needing to be improved or done in their village, and what they would personally do if they were elected. One of the key moments in our Burkinabe trip. When the rain stopped for a while we left, and got stuck again this time under the roof of the local school. The light was perfect and the wall and windows made for a great setting for a series of portraits.

This kid's name is John and he is 11.

Again those big eyes ! Wonderfull portrait, very spontanious. He looks clever :)
i prefer the b&w version, more intense imo.

Ben, il est sympa ce portrait, bien mis en valeur avec ton n&b..le n&b est souvent très bon pour des photos d'Afrique je trouve.
Par contre, elle est petite ta photo quand même...

Punaise comme ellle est belle ton image, avec un rendu au poil.

Expression sublime et jeu avec le tissus, magnifique.

Aller, rien que pour t'embêter, le visage aurait pu être centré, surtout pour un portrait comme cellui-ci.

Tiens, je vais emprunter le gramophone rayé des Aubry : elle est pas un peu petite ta photo :D ... (hey 650 pixels de haut me la racontes pas stp ;)...).
Je t'ai déjà dit ailleurs ce que j'en pensais, que du bien, donc on va pas s'éterniser, même si tu souhaites le contraire.

J'ai un truc à pinailler. Je n'aime pas le format polaroid pour un vertical, ça passe très bien pour un carré, assez bien pour un horizontal pas DU TOUT pour un vertical, si tu veux faire de l'asymétrie par rapport aux marges des côtés, centre la photo en vertical en laissant autant de marge en haut et en bas. Je vais quand même pas t'enlever un point pour ça...
