Photographer’s Note
I took this in Chobe National Park and it was one of the first photos i took of big game in the wild. It was midday and the elephants, of which there were many in the park, were resting in the shade of a tree. As we watched another elephant approached and wanted to join the group! The bright sunshine made exposure a compromise between capturing shade detail but not over exposing the scenery.

I was born in Angola and I can not miss African shots. It is always a kind of return to my origins.
It is a very nice picture of the Chobe elephants. I have been to the Chobe NP last year and I have several photos in my gallery. Please have a look.
