Photographer’s Note
This picture was taked in an Area of the Okavango Delta known as Duba Plain. The lioness in the picture is running for safety while chased by a big male buffalo. Lions are afraid of the horns of a large bulls like the one in the picture. The size and power of the bull combined with those big horn allow a buffalo to easily kill a lion.
For this reason lions tend to attach only female buffalos and calves.

hello,
really nice and wilde shot!
I like how sharp is the lioness and all drops around. i understand her fears seing all these bufallos. this scene is unusual as we know lions to be the hunter but not the victim.

Hello Andrea !
Excellent wild shot, with a lot of power and animal emotion.
