Photographer's Note

Before the rain season the land is bone dry and herds of elephants are eeking a living by finding tufts of dry grass or by peeling the bark of tree trunks or even twigs! One's heart goes out to such a tiny creature which probably doesn't get enough of mother's milk at this crucial time.
Nature plays a balancing act with the lives of many of its creatures and with global warming one wonders if the rains are coming later and later, putting lives in peril (those of humans included.)
