Photographer’s Note

Some Mondays are more difficult than other, take care to stay quiet :-)
Photo taken on the Chobé river where many crocodile can be seen.

Certains Lundi sont plus difficiles que d autres et un etat d esprit un peu "grognon" peut alors apparaitre ;-)
Photo prise sur la riviere Chobé lors d un 'safari bateau'. De nombreux crocodiles peuplent les rives.

I like this close-up. I find the eye to be very nice and the veiled smile too!!!
It is an excellent picture with incredible sharpness for a almost 400mm shot. Well done.

Sympathique bête ... Dans ce regard, on sent toute la tendresse du carnivore pour son futur morceau de viande lol Je comprends tout à fait l'utilisation d'une grande focale ainsi que le fait que tu n'aie pas pris la peine de dégager les quelques brins d'herbe qui gênent la vue ! Belle réalisation en tout cas, la mise au point est impeccable et la netteté est excellente.

Powerful and breathtaking portrait! The coroc's eye aiming at you is put in the best point of composition. I agree that you put the attractive teeth at the bottom of the image. How much close have you approached to take this?

well, it is already Tuesday night, feels like Friday (in terms of how tired I feel), so I guess is just the right time for me to comment on this photo, lol :)
good idea to go for a tight framing, the golden green eye and those TEETH are the very essence of what "menacing" means. superb quality too, I can almost feel the texture of the reptile's skin. great shot, Yves, I like it a lot.

Superbe ! La qualité de l'objectif se laisse apprécier, les contrastes sont vraiment bons et la définition parfaite. Tu as également su saisir un instant décisif, l'oeil de ce croco semble nous menacer directement et ce qu'on voit de ses dents ne dit pas le contraire.

I always thought tha the crocodile eye is a great subject for photography. This is a perfect close-up, including teeth.

I could not get it in the thumbnails...maybe I was expecting something else when I saw your name below the thumbnail. Phew! What a shot of the mean machine, with jaws which can crush any bone...like the texture & designs on the skin & the emerald colour eyes!

J'aime beaucoup ce très gros plan sur la gueule de ce monstre. L'œil et les dents prennent une importance phénoménale.
