Photographer’s Note
This is another picture from a village school in Botswana that I visited 24 years ago. I had been invited by some organization that was going to the school to show a movie to the children; possibly the first movie they ever saw. Before the movie started, the children greeted the visitors with a performance of songs and dances.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.
This is my last upload for a while. I will go on a journey for a few weeks and hopefully return with fresh digital pictures.

Hi Gert,
This is an old image but still very nice in quality. I find this gathering quite interesting as this was perhaps a first time experience for mos of these children. Nice point of view and framing of this little party. Thanks Gert :-)

Hej Gert,
now that's the continuation of the mini-series of photos taken in Botswana?
Interesting in many ways, as always! first because it is old, second - because it was taken in such a country which I will never visit in this life (maybe in the next?), third - it is always interesting to see how people live in other places... and so on :) Buildings and architecture is good, but such scenes are quite different!
I wish you a very good time and weather during your journey! I hope to see more new photos after you return :)
Kindest regards,
Elena

Bonjour Gert,
Une vue ancienne qui nous offre une scène assez typique de ce pays où l'on sait remercier les visiteurs par des chants et des danses.
Les couleurs sont assez saturées, dues certainement au Kodachrome slide.
Amicalement

Hello Gert, Hope you enjoy your trip & bring back some nice photos to share with us, I enjoyed looking at your old ones & hope you have more to show us, This one as all others must bring back some beautiful memories, the first thing I noticed with this shot was the happy atmosphere you captured the next thing was the white of their eyes. shinning like little stars.
Well done & best wishes.

Hello Gert,
It is a pleasure to discover your gallery — characterized with such diversity and high quality images. This action shot, scanned from a 24 year old Kodachrome slide, is befitting of your excellent gallery. The glitter of the young children's eyes is priceless.

Hi Gert,
I love those crammed shots, full of faces, full of life, full of movement or smiles. The personal note adds even more to the charm of this upload.
With thanks.
