A group of school children preparing - some of them - the next class. This is from a village school in Botswana that I visited on a journey through southern Africa in 1984.

To see happy and well cared kids in Botswana was one of the highlights of our, my wife and I, trip to Southern Africa in 2007. We were really impressed.
It is a very nice photo and thanks for sharing something rare but very nice in Africa. Well done.

Hi Gert, Nice view of the group of children . There were plans in Poland that the kids should wear uniforms but finally this project was rejected. I like the idea. I saw in many exotic countries, even poor, the children in uniforms and I find it better than a fashion show. some kids are bare foot. Good colours and nice composition. So you have 50 countries in your gallery! impressive number Congratulations! . And I suppose you will show us more.

the 50th country!! Thanks Gunnar who counted the countries you've been to!
For me such photos of daily life are extremely interesting. They are simple scenes but convey a lot of various information. Very good shot! very interesting. I wonder how much has changed in the education system in this country.. and whether schoolchildren still wear the same blue uniform!
I see that whereas all of them do not care about your taking a photo there is one who noticed it and is looking at you ;)

Another good daily life shot, it's good to see that children in this part of the world has an opportunity to be educated, that is the only way they can build a better future for themselves and their next generation. You have been around the world and back. thanks

This is a great daily life shot when life was easy, at least for me as I was 4 years old in 1980.

I like the panoramic look f the shot.
