Photographer’s Note

I was going through my pictures from Africa and found this one.
This elephant bull was trying to cross the Chobe River but got extremely frustrated and scared as all the boats loaded with tourists and their cameras were closing in on him - making it almost impossible for him to move.
Eventually the rangers listened to some of us in the boats telling them to move away and leave him alone.
Even though it did make for a great photo-opportunity - the most important thing is to always respect the animals and let them have their space - it is unfortunate that that is sometimes forgotten when people get caught up in the moment.

Amazing photo!!! The pov - almost in profile...great detail with the eye and the one ear. Sharpness is perfect....but why in b&w?

I like your attitude - always respect your object....and yes - you were close enough!!! :o)

What a great gallery you have!!
I really was pleased going from one photo to another, great talent.
Regarding this photo....it is really a great portrait and having it shot in b&w really made it more interesting.
Great shot accompanied with very good detail.
