The mysterious Okavango, a photo from North-West, North

Photographer's Note

This morning there I was rising to see the result of the night fishing of our paddlers, but the sunrise was so beautiful that I cannot resisted, it was necessary that I make some shots. is needed that I describes the method of local fishing, the method consists in putting one or two dugouts across the channel, the fish noting that's an obstacle there, decide to jump over and fall into the dugout. The result is impressionant this morning there the 2 dugouts were full (bad photo, I prefer not to put them on the site).
Then all the fish are dried and brought back to the village.

Beautiful capture, Christian. I don't recall ever having seen a sunrise like that, with the glow of the sun on those scattered clouds. I wonder what's stirring out there in the ripples of the water...

Génial ces petits flocons roses. La symétrie et l'horizon au milieu se justifie dans le cas de cette image. Par contre le commentaire sur la pêche n'a aucun rapport. Dommage pour les photos de poissons.

one of my favourites on this site.
really good one christian. youve also written a very honest and warm note along with it.the colours are superb and so is the composition. it's good that you took this photograph in the morning. only in the mornings do you get water so still

Wonderful colors and a nice compo, it is all together a beautiful picture. The note is very interesting, too. If you have a bad photo with interesting content you could always post it as a workshop to this one.

Le reflet du ciel dans l'étang est génial et les couleurs sont superbes.
En ce qui concerne le piroguier il faut effectivement faire certains efforts pour le voir, mais une fois repéré on n'a plus de problèmes.
