Mystic Okavango, a photo from North-West, North

Photographer's Note

Another photo from water safari in Okavango delta. It is possible to swim in some places. We went there but the water was not clean after elephants bathed there. We went for a cruise and after some time the water was calm again and we could swim. Quite thrilling knowing that there were hippos and crocs not far. Photo made from very low POV, from mokoro boat.

A beautiful view! It wpould be interesting to see some of the animals here, were you lucky to spot any hippo? What was the water temperature?

kolejne zdjęcie z Okavango i kolejny raz znakomicie uchwycony nastrój tej sceny i miejsca.Podoba mi się sposób w jaki skadrowałas scenę.Do tego chyba najwazniejsza rzecz wpływająca na niezwykły klimat zdjęcia,czyli piękne,ciepłe kolory.Swietna praca.

Hi Malgorzata,
I agree with the title that you have chosen for this photo, it is a mystical image of the famous delta, because of the subtle light of the sunset and the fantastic chromatic tonalities in the sky and in the clouds. The low POV provides a great depth to the image.

Hello Malgorzata,
Apart from elephants, hippos and crocodiles, what about bilharzia? This is a fine evening view with good colours. But in what way would the Polish wetlands look different?

Another very effective Okavango shot, Malgorzata, this time alone with the sunset. This is some very tough light to work with, but you've successfully expressed the feel of a bright sunset with the high contrasts below and the bright sky above. Looking forward to more from here!
