Magic time in Okavango delta. It is marvelous to go slowwly in mokoro, without making any noise, observing crocs, hippos and elephants in shallow water. and it was possible to swim :).

The Okavango Delta is one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries on Earth. Its extraordinary range of habitats are home to great herd of antelopes, zebra, buffalo and elephants, hippos and crocs - who rule the waterways - and lions, leopards, cheetahs and all the other carnivores which prosper in this safari paradise.

The Okavango is a unique ecosystem of papyrus-lined waterways, knee-deep floodplains, water-lily lagoons, shady forest glades.

Activity highlights of the Okavango Delta include being poled in a mokoro (dugout canoe) through lagoons crammed with water lilies and hippos.

Hola Malgo!

Después de unos días algo desconectado me encuentro ahora con una gran colección de bellezas de tu serie africana...Esta ultima nos habla de un bello momento, un paseo que pienso sería inolvidable...La calidad del color y los contrastes capta muy bien el ambiente del lugar, esos colores del fin de la tarde...Una foto que nos habla de viajes y de aventura...Me gusta mucho...

Hello Malgo - Do you know, I have never been to the delta and its so nearby! I know from Mamili in Caprivi how special these waterways are and what a privilege it is to have the opportunity to see them. You have captured the stillness of the environment from your vantage point in the boat. I'm trying to spot the croc.... don't like them one bit! Lovely evocative image. Bardzo ladne pastelowe kolory.
Najbardziej podoba mi sie to, ze ujelas kawalek lodki, z ktorej zostalo zrobione to zdjecie (a przynajmniej ma sie takie wrazenie, ze to ta wlasnie lodka). W ten sposob zapraszasz widza do udzialu w swojej afrykanskiej przygodzie.

nic dodać,nic ująć-faktycznie magiczne miejsce,ale równiez i wspomniany przez ciebie czas,a co za tym idzie światło,które znakomicie oddaje nastrój tej sceny.Swietnie skadrowana scena,ale dla mnie najwazniejszym czynnikiem wpływającym na odbiór zdjęcia i jego sukces jest jednak to piękne,delikatne i wspaniale odbijające się w wodzie światło.

Hello Malgo,

This really is an atmospheric shot and one that I love, as it is so much beyond my own experience.
The tranquility just oozes from your shot as the boatmen pole their boats quietly through the water. There are hardly any ripples, hardly any disturbance from the leading boats. I like how you have made the focal boatman proud of the b/g, he makes a fine visual image, silhouetted against the pale sky. There ia a lovely harmony to the shot as the pale light is picked up on the surface of the water.

J'aime beaucoup ce point de vue très près de l'eau qui nous offre une perspective très spéciale sur la barque et qui utilise bien le contre jour pour donner une ambiance très spéciale.

Hello Malgorzata,
The natural low perspective enhances the magic of the evening on the delta. You are sitting so low, and the "gondoliers" become so tall as their silhouettes are seen aganist the blue and purple sky. The ripples on the water create a good foreground.

A very attractive picture from a low POV. You were apparently just above the water surface to catch this upward picture with the other boat as a silhouette against the beautiful sky. A well composed picture too.

This is such a pleasing photo, the calm of the waterways in the Okavango Delta come across perfectly here. Nice how the line of boats lead the eye in to the photo and your low POV (evindent while sitting in a boat) gives an interesting perspective, for the onlooker it is almost like sitting in the boat oneself.

Magic indeed, and enhanced by the implied motion into the white void made by the sky and clouds. Great low POV setting him up against that sky directly. Nicely captured!

this sounds like such a wonderful experience.
Not sure how it could possibly get any better than this.
you described it very well.
I'm really liking the water ripples near the bottom, and how the water looks so very dark black.

Kiedy¶ jednym z moich marzeñ by³ transafrykañski rajd rowerowy z Kapsztadu do Kairu, Botswana tez by³a w Planie. Tego mareznia ju¿ nie zrealizuje, niestety.
Piêknie pokazujesz piêkno magicznej delty Okavango.
Bardzo klimatyczna fotografia w piêknej kolorystyce.

Too low and close to the Hippos and Crocs, malgo, but we see you made it through safely...
Nice view from the Canoe, sailed calmly on the river, fine scene with the men stood and navigate along.
