It was morning and we walked in the same field trying to see more savage animal. Our guide climbed a termite mount trying to see above the level of the plains around. In this region in usual to find big termite mounts, much higher those ones we have here in Brazil. It is told the most of islands in the Okawango delta are created by them.
In the foreground we can see a typical young macalani palm, the elephants try to eat them, but they are toxic.
PS: It is a sad day for Brazilians, we would like to hide under the soil like these termites.. :(

Hi, Jorge, I want to say a couple of words for your latest post too.
First time I have seen a termite mount in Sri Lanka. Impressive construction, good presentation of the nature in Botswana, thanks for so interesting reports from Africa.

This is an extraordinarily picture with the guide high on the termite mountain.
I hope that you the same day has found elephants.
This gives nice perspective and depth picture.
Composition and presentation are pleasant to look at.

It's only a football game Jorge, you don't have to punish yourself and want to hide under the Termites pile. Glorious days was in older time, the ball is always round - and I am sure the team will re-built itself for future, long from now.
Nice note anout the pile, instead of the elephants we see your guide.
Fine taken photo, good document.

Buena foto, saludos

I am sorry to be writing this on yet another sad day for Brazil, but there'll be other tournaments. Brazil has won enough times that this should not tarnish their fame.
So we are looking at a huge ant hill! Don't termites bother people who step on their mounds?
