Photographer’s Note
Chobe National Park in Botswana is famous for its huge concentration of elephants - and you are more than likely to see more than just a few while on a game drive here.
This elephant was part of a smaller herd that passed right next to our vehicle after having enjoyed a mudbath in the nearby waterhole.

Hello Maria,
We seem to be into the same kind of photography, wonderful faraway travels with a clear focus on portraits and people and the odd elephant thrown in. I even have a shot with this title too (you were first) - but not the elephant shot. Funny!
I wonder why it took so long before this shot got noticed: technically it's more than good enough, lovely muddy colours and the composition is right too. Yours is a gallery to return to...Glad to write the first critique, give the elephant a smile!
Benny
