Photographer’s Note
Close up of a hypphos bathing in the Chobe river.
In spite of their tranquil look hyppos are considered one the most dangerous animals in africa. They can run surprisingly fast out of the water and are extremely good swimmers. They have also two big tusks that can be used as a weapon if needed. The scars visible on the skin of the hyppo are marks left by the tusks of other hyppos.
