[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Set in the middle of a lake, the city of Ganvie is a floating wonder home to 30000 people.

The only means of transportation to and from Ganvie is by pirogue. The tourist office in Abomey Calvie has three types for hire: with motor, with sail & oar, or with oar alone. We opted for #2, although you can't the sail in the picture (believe it or not, it was actually a Snoopy & Charlie Brown bed sheet). Anyway, I thought the oarsman framed the city nicely on his own.
