Photographer's Note

Though mainly animistic - follower of the old polytheistic religion, called vodoun (Voodoo)- the Islam is stronger in Benin than it is in neighbouring Togo.
The mosque of Ouidah (Where there is also a cathedral) is quite impressive as you can see at the size of the imam just entering the building.

Hi Gerrit, yes the inclusion of the Imam is good for 2 reasons, once to give context to the building and also to give scale to the size of the mosque. I like alot the warm tones and the POV is really good. TFS, enjoy your Monday, Lisa

This does not look like a mosque at all, barring the cresceents at the top of the minarets...looks more like a church. Yes, the imam entering does give a proper idea about the size of this structure. Good work & a fine reprsenattion in the spirit of TE

Thanks for sharing this image, mosque of unique architecture rarely seen. It resembles a church building from this angle except for the two minarets. Well framed with perspective and great dof, I like the tree which act as a nice frame in the image. Superb detail in warm tones and we have good sense of scale here.
