Bonjour Vincent,
Every country seems to have its own Venice, most of these place only have water and boats in common with the original. Still, all these Venices say a lot about their respective countries.
This is a great picture & a great location. I think I'd prefer this Venice to the Italian one, but that's jut me. A good wide sweeping view, with that yellow in the middle attracting some attention too.
The composition is good, but I wonder about possible alternatives. Here you went for the overview, but the shot seems to hesitate a bit between the people on the left and the boats on the right. So we end up with the yellow jerrycan in the middle... This composition is intriguing in its own right and I do like the shot very much, but I wonder if there's more to follow.
Looking at the date this pic was taken (yesterday!), you're probably still around there. Enjoy your trip.
Benny

Bonjour Vincent

Hello Vincent,
The dirt and the mud would make it less appetizing in my mind to buy fish here, and I can imagine the smell. But it's a fine picture with the crowd of people to the left, the boats lined up centre and right and the various containers and baskets up front. You have captured the African market atmosphere very well.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Vincent
You have managed to capture a scene with so much in it. This wide view is very informative and you are hiding nothing - not even the rubbish in the foreground. Cheers, Marlene
