| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In my previous shot on Angola I discussed the high number of plane crashes in M'Banza Congo where I stayed for a while.
Having the runway in the middle of the village, one church to the left of it and one to the right, one school is to the left and here another school to the right. The military strategic reason for cutting up the town and putting the runway in the middle is clear when surrounded by rebels. But it's always hoping that a plan does not crash in your house, or the orphanage, the house of the nuns, or the school, church, hospital,...
This one crashed some time ago; 300 metres past our office and just in front of the school. Lucky.
Technical note:
The shot was taken with my old Canon Epoca. No exif data for this one. I used Ilford 400 film. Negative scanned with Minolta Dimage Scan Elite II. |

Why no critiques I couldn't tell you...
The composition isn't great but it's not bad. The landing gear of the plane (I think it's landing gear) along with the note make for a really interesting photo. The people walking in the background and buildings make a good backdrop for the photo.
Nice shot.
Good interesting note.
I love these older photos.
