Ruínas são sempre fotogênicas, muitas vezes certos edifícios são mais belos em ruínas do que o foram quando perfeitos. Acho que é a vivência da destruição e a sobrevivência à ela que dá às ruínas uma aura mística, de algo que tenta ser eterno apesar de tudo. Esta foto apresenta muito bem os efeitos terríveis de uma guerra. Acho que o detalhe poderia ser melhor explorado ou que o edifício poderia ter ficado um pouco mais ao fundo, se é que isso seria possível.

The destruction of this place is terrible, and your photo captures it really well. The use of black and white is a good choice, and the people in your photo add extra interest.

This is an amazing shot Nelson! The composition is great and so is your choice of B&W. Although the picture seems to "lean" towards left, (i don't know if it was your intention)it doesn't bother me at all. On the contrary I think it helps to create this "disaster" atmosphere. Congratulations!

Apesar de retratar a destruição, consegue transmitir exactamente o peso que ela deixa ficar, através das suas ruínas... o que de facto impressiona aqui é a constatação da indiferença/resignação de quem passa/vive ao lado dessa destruição.

obviously the subjct matter of the photo is tragic and sheds light onto the tragedy of war torn countries. the building seams to become almost skeleton like, as if now that it has lost its roof and windows it has no more hope. the people that walk past are effective in showing the viewer that they must get on with daily life as this is just another victim of war.

hi nelson,
this photo ,as a photo ,is well captured .ur prespective and cropping is great . the b&w serve this photo so much. as a content of this photo it is really sad ...but it is good to show what war make coz some ppl dont get the picture unless they really see it.

O que dizer sobre esta foto ? A guerra è algo de terrivel. Veijo essa criança a esquerda que tao nova, jà passou por momentos dramaticos que muitos de nos nunca conhecemos. Mas a vida continua assim como essas pessoas caminhando, mostrando que a vida esta presente e que ira vencer as atrocidades do mundo. O preto e branco è perfeito aqui, como tambem o facto da foto nao estar horizontal mas sim caindo, tal como o edificio.
