Well, this was the view I had from my window when I lived in Angola. Few buildings and a neverending perspective made of shanty towns. It's terrible to say but after few months, you get accustomed to this kind of environnement. Some days like this one, you can even believe it’s a beautiful environnement because of the sun because of the beach, because of nice people. But reality is there on the foreground : the incredible poverty….
This picture was taken at sunset. At this latitude, it occurred really early and amazingly quickly. If I remember well, the light became to lower around 5:40 pm and at 6:00 pm it was already completely dark.
I reframed the picture a little bit so as to have less sky and a more balanced composition. I increased saturation a little bit. I also made several tests under Neatimage but gave up as it ruined the details in the shanty town located in the lower part. I tried to find the right balance between a nice saturated sky and a lower part clear enough so as to preserves details.

Hi Steven, wonderful colours indeed ! I would have cropped a little off the bottom, too much black. The note really reminds us to appreciate life's beauty everyday.

If you have left the sky on the whole picture, it will be enough for an exellent composition. The 'burnin' colour its so alive... incredible. The clouds seems like the alluvium on the sky.
