Photographer’s Note

The National Slavery Museum is situated inside a chapel denominated "Big House Chapel" found on the "Morro da Cruz", on the road from Luanda to Kwanza.
Luanda served as the center of a large slave trade to Brazil from c.1550 to 1836. Slave trade was mostly with the Portuguese colony of Brazil; Brazilian ships were the most numerous in the ports of Luanda and Benguela
The slave trade was abolished in 1836.

In the Workshop it's a view from the museum, where several people were trying to catch some fish.
