Photographer’s Note
Trek in the Algerian Sahara in the Tadrart region.
In the Sahara desert, you hardly see any animals during the day because they most often only go out at night.
Very often when you get up or when you are walking if you look closely on the ground, you can discover lots of animal tracks.
Here there is a play between shadow and light and with the sand patterns which gives some unexpected result.
Which animal left those tracks ? Maybe a jackal, maybe a fennec.

This is one of those photos where you have to study it for a moment or two before you realise what you are looking at. I couldn't make up my mind if the sun was shining from the left or the right, or if I was looking at ridges or hollows in the sand. The more you look at it, the better it gets. Cool photo.

Salut Emma!
That's very nicely spotted, I like this very much. The light and shadow interaction is lovely, the tracks are a great addition.
Bon soiree et amicalement,
Chris
