It's amazing how the blending of orange and blue sky within the horizon accentuates the overall composition, minimalistic but daring. The human element gives us a sense of scale and a complete isolation.

Beautiful moody and atmospheric photo of the dunes. The layer of orange light is just superb along the horizon, and is that a person I see in the frame too? A nice photo of solitude!

No sé si la soledad,no sé si la nostalgia,a veces las raices bajo los pies,a veces las alas,muchas veces el tiempo que se acerca caminando entre las dunas,y casi todas el "anima mundi"..,aunque yo también encuentro ese lugar en la montaña.
La foto y la nota sincronizadas perfectamente.Una de las cosas que me llama la atención de estos parajes con horizontes alargados(como el horizonte del mar)es que parece apreciarse la curvatura terrestre..,no?

Hola Miguel,
The desert is probably one of the most troubling place in the world. You face yourself, you have nothing but time to think, you feel lonely but it happens so many things (like meeting people !!?), and you're in an ocean of beauty.
That's what I see here.

Hi Miguel,

I can feel the sense of loneliness you are imparting in this image. The solitary figure in the distance does this for me quite well. I wonder if that sensation might have been accentuated by positioning the horizon higher up in the image - exaggerating depth?

Hola Miguel..... y ¿cómo suena el desierto? es una de las cosas que a mí me llama mucho la atención cuando viajo, como suenan los sitios, el mar... en alta mar, la montaña cuando estás en lo más alto de una cumbre, en un mercadillo en Cochín o en Hospilatet....

Una preciosa imagen de las infinitas dunas del mar de arena de Dajla.

I would like to know if you have tried a sense of positive or negative loneliness in the middle of the desert...
