Photographer’s Note

I heard somewhere that Spain, the political name of the land I live in, plays the final of an important soccer championship. In the last days the country il full of flags, suddenly everybody seems to be proud about belonging to this part of the world, people parade in the street with their faces painted in strage ways doing lot of noise... and I look a it with a strange feeling... Dont know why, but I dont feel confortable, I really look forward to this to reach an end.
Take care all of you and enjoy this photo taken at the refugee camp of the Sahara people in Algeria. It was a nice moment playing with the light (yes, it´s burnt, but I wanted it like this) and with the composition (yes, for good or for bad it´s also tilt).

He oído algo de que España, el nombre político de la tierra y la cultura a la que pertenezco, juega hoy la final de un importante campeonato de fútbol. Por eso en los últimos días el país está lleno de banderas, de repente todo el mundo está orgulloso de pertenecer a esta parte del mundo, la gente desfila por la calle con los rostros pintados de colores y gritando... Y yo no puedo evitar contemplarlo con una sensación extraña... No sé por qué, pero no me siento confortable con la situación y estoy deseando que llegue a su fin.
Cuidaos y disfrutad de esta foto que tomé en un campo de refugiados saharauis en Argelia. Fue un bonito momento jugando con las luces (si, está quemada porque me gustaba así) y la composición (sí, está torcida, pero también lo hice a propósito)

Hola Miguel,

esta es una foto muy linda i interesante porque se necessita poco para jugar, ser feliz i no pensar a los problemas.
esta es la razon porque el futbol es magico
(como el title de una mi foto de la thailandia que te porgo aqui)

Ola Miguel,

Your attitude towards 'your country' is probably puzzling for lots of people in the world, though many people in Belgium would feel the same...although our country reaching a football final is very unlikely.

I added it to my football pictures theme, which is meant to celebrate real, global football and not the high paid prima-donna's of international top football.

Still, I hope Spain wins.

Muy buena la foto pero mucho mejor la nota.
Yo, iba con Grecia y con Portugal... pero no tuve suerte (lo de Portugal es porque un programa de la tele, el Intermedio, apoyaba a Portugal).

En cualquier caso, una foto y una situación únicas.

Hi Miguel,

A very evocative shot of these guys kicking the ball about. I like the light and I like the tilt, both of which help create a lot of atmosphere and ambiance in this dusty shot taken at dusk. I know you mention it's a refugee camp, however I hope that while these guys are playing they can at least feel like a big football star, on a big field in front of a huge crowd, and at least for a short time forget their unfortunate situation.

Que mal patriota que eres , no alegrarte de la Roja!!! jejej

Imagina toda esa gente que canto gol al mismo tiempo poniendose de acuerdo para organizar una huelga por ...(una vivienda digna , por la paz , la igualdad ...se me ocurren mil ...por que no ! por un Sahara libre !? )

Me quedo con esa pachanguita futbolera en Dajla ( la prefiero mil veces a un billete para la final de la Eurocopa -ese era el torneo-)

Ya me extraniaba que no hablaras de la final de ayer y te imagino facil y felizmente NO viendola !

Hola Miguel,

me gusta tu idea de presentar una foto "alternativa", ya me imagino que serà dificil encontrar tranquilidad en estas horas en España ... aunque soy tampoco un aficionado de futbol, seguro que me alegra la victor de España, insoportable sería estado ver festejar a nuestros jerarcas fascistas, mafiosos y el enano venenoso...

La foto en contraluz es muy efectiva y nos acuerda a gente que esta menos afortunada y sabe disfrutar tambien la vida...

Hola..
Sobre la foto,pues hace poco participé en un concurso de fotografía de Portugal y habia una foto parecida a esta que estaba entre mis favoritas,asique,por supuesto me gusta.Me gusta la luz,y tambien pienso que esta bien asi,incluso quemada(ardiente,por los tonos dorados),y la inclinación,pues también es posible que le de mejor toque a la foto que haberla dejado normal.
Sobre el furgol..,pues yo no sé,no soy muy futbolera,pero reconozco que he visto los partidos,eso si,sin masas,en mi casa,y tambien pienso que debería haber cosas más importantes que nos unieran,pero si hay que empezar porque sea el futbol pues que sea,asique en este tema me muevo un poco entre la impresión por todo el movimiento al respecto y la esperanza de que se extrapole a cosas más importantes...

I so much liked the way you captured the moment here that when I saw it was part of the theme; I had to follow the whole theme. An experience such as this one would surely change one's perceptions forever.

amazing light, so much atmosphere...planning to go to algeria in the spring, very excited about it.
