Great macjake 2014-01-28 1:04

Hi Jason
Oh man I have to go pack to Paris...I was there for only 2 short quick days about 8 years ago, and it was basically pouring rain all the time. And 1 of those days was when our flight arrived late in the evening.
Gotta get back there.

So whats that red and white sign? is it a 'do not enter' sign? probably...

a relaxing day, cool architecture and cool food, not sure what else you could ask for.
looks like you had some awesome weather.
see you around!
cheers
craig

Howdy Craig,

I actually prefer the smaller cities/villages, mainly in the South of France...but I tell ya', there's just something about Paris that has a grip on me. In my limited travels, this place and NYC have been the standouts for large cities. I could spend a lifetime in either one and always find something new and interesting to photograph. Certainly not for everyone's tastes, but I love 'em!

I think your right on about that red & white sign on the bridge. Your question got me to thinking, and the more I did, the more it seemed that boats traveling West would go around the North part of Ile de la Cite, while boats traveling East would go around the South end of the island...right where this was taken. I could be completely wrong of course, my memory is no specialist in these matters, that's for sure! lol

I hope you do make it back there some time, I'd love to see what you come away with. Speaking of which, I can only imagine the cool stuff we'll be seeing after your summer plans.

Great to hear from you as always amigo, take it easy.

J
