Great macjake 2014-01-03 16:34

Hi Noel
I wish there were shipwrecks here in Vancouver!
this one's a beauty, but it'd be even better if the entire ship was still intact, although it has been 40 years!
the long wait was worth it I suppose, but in the end did you get the shipwreck photo you were hoping for?
I'm sure everyone is saying how awesome the light is, and they're damn right!
nice one
cheers
craig

Default To macjake: Shipwreck shots

Hi Craig,
Thanks for the comment! As far as I know, this is the only wreck in Ireland that you can see when tide is low, so its a unique place for me too! I did wait around a good few hours for the tide to go out, and while I did not get the exact shot I wanted (I was hoping for a black and white scene of the ship sitting in the sinking sand), I did get others that I was happy with, so it was time worth spending here. Normally I shoot castles and buildings, and they tend to just be there and not at the mercy of nature so much, so a lesson learned about beaches and the tides
Cheers as always
Noel
